September Library News

What an exciting start to our library year at Porters Point School! We have been focusing learning on our library routine that includes checking out books, library jobs or choices, and pair share reading with a friend. Each student has been able to share their hope for themselves in library this year. They have created a page for our Library Hopes book that you can browse when you visit our space. The highlight of our new library space is Pearson! He is a Panda puppet that always has his nose in a book. He loves to read! He is named after Vermont author/illustrator Tracey Campbell Pearson, a resident of Jericho. Her famous illustration of one of her character's named Myrtle can be found framed on our library wall. And, of course, a panda is the Porters Point School mascot! I look forward to meeting you at Open House on Thursday October 1, 2015. Come visit the library and meet Pearson!
